RES Software Certification
RES Software offers a certification program designed to validate IT professionals with the technical capabilities and expertise needed to effectively use the RES Software product portfolio, giving companies the confidence that their IT employees have the skills and experience needed to be successful.
Validity
Product Certifications are version based and do not expire. For RES Software Partners, however, certifications used to obtain a specific partner level should always be the most recent product certification available. A product certification for a partner level expires 9 months after the release of a new exam.
Exam Release Schedule
An exam is released once every two major product releases
- RES Workspace Manager exam: 2010, 2012, 2014,…
- RES Automation Manager exam: 2011, 2013,…
Until the next exam release, the current exam will be valid. A 2011 exam can be taken without any issues after being trained on a 2012 product version.
Exam Preparation
Although training is not mandatory, RES Software strongly advises to participate in the appropriate course and develop hands-on experience before scheduling any RES Software exam. See the Training Page for additional information on the available RES Software courses.

Overview of certifications
Current certifications
- RWMCP 2012 - RES Workspace Manager 2012 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES Workspace Manager 2012 Basic Exam (RWMBX-500). This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-007.
- RAMCP 2011 - RES Automation Manager 2011 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES Automation Manager 2011 Basic Exam (RAMBX-300). This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-005.
- RAMCP 2011-SO - RES Automation Manager 2011 Certified Professional, including Service Orchestration. You achieve this certification by passing the RES Automation Manager 2011 Service Orchestration Exam (RAMBX-300-SO). Note that the RAMCP 2011 certification is a prerequisite for taking this exam. This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-006.
Combined Certifications
- RCP - RES Software Certified Professional. You achieve this certification if you pass the most recent RES Workspace Manager (formerly PowerFuse) and RES Automation Manager (formerly Wisdom) exam. This certification expires nine months after a new exam becomes available for a new release of either RES Workspace Manager or RES Automation Manager. During this grace period you need to re-certify for the latest release in order to remain RES Software Certified Professional. The 'old' product certifications will remain valid.
- RCT - RES Software Certified Trainer. This certification is intended for Partners who teach the RES Workspace Manager (formerly RES PowerFuse) and RES Automation Manager (formerly RES Wisdom) courses. You achieve this certification if you pass the RES Workspace Manager (formerly RES PowerFuse) and RES Automation Manager (formerly RES Wisdom) exams and attend the RES Software Train the Trainer Training (RT3-500). This certification expires nine months after a new exam becomes available for a new release of either RES Workspace Manager or RES Automation Manager. During this grace period you need to re-certify for the latest release in order to remain RES Software Certified Trainer.

- RPFCP 2010 - RES PowerFuse (now Workspace Manager) 2010 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES PowerFuse 2010 Essentials Exam (RPFBX-300). This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-004.
- RWCP 2009 - RES Wisdom (now Automation Manager) 2009 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES Wisdom 2009 Basic Exam (RWBX-200). This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-002.
- RPFCP Series 8 - RES PowerFuse Series 8 Certified Professional. You achieve this certification by passing the RES PowerFuse Series 8 Basic Exam (RPFBX-200). This certification is version based and does not expire. The Prometric code for this exam is ES0-003.
